August 1, 2017 – Waukegan, IL - Telefonix®, Inc., manufacturer of the PowerPost® commercial electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) product line, introduces its dual and quad electric vehicle (EV) charging station solutions.
The new product offering is a charging post that allows for installation of two or four L1 PowerPost EVSE or L2 PowerPost charging stations. The new charging post saves parking facilities valuable space, while also offering a necessary amenity as more and more automobile manufacturers follow consumer demand for EVs and convert to producing electric vehicles.
Most dual charging stations split the electricity between the stations, causing the stations to charge an electric vehicle at half-power. PowerPost EVSE’s Charging Post maintains its integrity, by having individual units for each charging location.
PowerPost EVSE continues to bolster its robust lineup of low-current charging options, which now includes a standalone version, wall-mounted version and these dual/quad versions, making it one of the most accommodating and affordable options for parking facilities.
Now that PowerPost EVSE has a multi-unit charging post, it can now be included in popular Tax Credit programs including: Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP), Charge Up LA! Program; San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District, Charge Up! Program; Denver Metro Area, Regional Air Quality Council Electric Vehicle and Charging Station Grant; Iowa, Alliant Energy Level 2 Charging Station Rebate; and Massachusetts, Electric Vehicle Incentive Program (MassEVIP).
About The PowerPost® EVSE Product Line
The Telefonix PowerPost electric vehicle charging station product line is focused on low-current solutions for commercial parking lots or garages where cars are parked for two or more hours. The L1 PowerPost EVSE led the way as the first commercial Level 1 EV charging station, and the L2 PowerPost EVSE is making an impact on the Level 2 product category as the first low-current, commercial Level 2 EV charging station. The company has now introduced a wall-mounted version of the level 1 and level 2 PowerPost EV charging stations. All PowerPost chargers provide an economical charging solution that also features a retractable cord reel that eliminates the clutter and potential hazards of long cables as well as offering the potential for custom branding. Telefonix is delivering on electric vehicle charging innovations with a cost of ownership that creates a win-win for both the EV driver and the parking facility.
